The Storehouse
A space called out for healing and shared purpose...

Our Story
Ben and Ciera met in the wilderness of Utah. She, a young single mother of two- trying to figure out her purpose, and him already living in his. Their two lives converged in the mountains and the rest is history. He moved to the Midwest, and they quickly transferred from Belleville to Maeystown IL. She became a Flinders and they immediately started a family. Their growing desire to help those in need has been a constant in their union and throughout the years it has evolved into a deeper understanding of how to help as they have endured many trials along the way. Ben's heart has always been the home- "securing the family unit." This means going back to the basics, being self-sufficient, and providing what they can on their own, along with homeschooling their children. He serves to provide his children and family with a deeply enriching life experience, putting an emphasis on the importance of presence in each moment. In this way he has taught Ciera much about slowing down in order to be the mother that she aspires to be. Ciera is driven by a desire to help her community step outside of limiting paradigms and rediscover greater freedom in emotional, spiritual, and physical wellbeing. (They both have that in common) But Ciera's zeal to accomplish such a feat has been a result of a lot of performance-based achieving leaving little room to focus on family. Throughout the years, many conversations, many prayers, and divine intervention has dramatically shifted her perspective on how they accomplish both of these goals: first being the family, second being the community. This business serves to bridge the gap and make both things possible starting on a small scale and then building out as time and experience allows. Currently, they are expecting another child, and are aspiring shepherds researching their ideal dairy sheep breed to add to their family. Everything they believe and the way they strive to live is an ever-evolving reflection of The Storehouse.
